Planning consent has been obtained for a mixed-use development, to include residential and commercial units across three separate blocks, on the site of an existing petrol filling station.  The works include the complete demolition of two warehouses and a petrol filling station, including the removal of large storage tanks.  The congested site is bordered by residential properties, where structures need to be accessed and safely removed at the boundary.  Piled walls and foundations will be installed along with superstructure for each block.

In order to assess the various complex boundary conditions around the site, eb7 compiled a Boundary and Neighbourly Matters Report to clearly set out the obligations, consents and access requirements relevant to each adjoining owner.  The client team and eb7 then evaluated various methods for safe demolition of existing structures, enabling works to be carried out safely, whilst protecting neighbouring properties.
