“The Appleton” is the first phase of a larger scheme, close to West Ealing Crossrail station. The scheme is named after a famous building on the Broadway in New York City and references Ealing’s historical origin as an orchard.

The site presented an exceptional opportunity for development whilst posing challenges due to the town centre location and close proximity of neighbouring properties.

eb7 were involved from the early phases of the design process managing planning risks and working to maximise massing whilst working to an exceptionally tight planning timeframe. Engaging closely with the Local Authority and key stakeholders was key in securing a detailed consent only 8 months after our client acquired the site.

  • Daylight and sunlight assessments to surrounding residential buildings
  • Daylight and sunlight analysis within the residential accommodation
  • Overshadowing analysis to internal and surrounding amenity areas
